UNICELLULAR AND MULTICELLULAR ORGANISM

On the basis of cell number the organism is divided into two groups the first one is unicellular and another one is multicellular.

UNICELLULAR ORGANISM:- The organisms which contains only one cell are known as unicellular organisms.

• All the function of unicellular organism is done by a single cell.
• Its life span is short.
• No special cell is present for reproduction.

MULTICELLULAR ORGANISM :-The organisms which contains many cells are known as multicellular organisms.

• In multicellular organism different function is done by different cell.
• Its life span is long.
• Special cell called germ cell are present for reproduction.
