HALLWACH AND LENARD EXPERIMENTAL SETUP

THE EXPERIMENTAL SETUP OF HALLWACH AND LENARD:-
  • The experimental setup of Hallwach's and Lenard is given in figure.
  • Evacuated glass tube is used because electron can flow easily from emitter plate to collector plate.
  • In experimental setup of Hallwach's and Lenard there is quartz window is used to pass light( radiation)  and falls on the emitter plate.
  •  Commutator  is used for reverse the flow of current or we can say it is used for change the polarity.
  • Voltmeter is used for measuring voltage.
  • Micro ammeter is used to measuring photoelectric current produced by photoelectric effect.
  • Rheostat is used for increasing or decreasing the voltage .
  • Battery is used to provide potential.
