• It is a  type of agriculture in which we have to produce large amount of meat egg milk etc.
• In animal husbandry we have to take care of animals health , provide foods etc.
• For good production we need good breeders.
•  Animal husbandry divided into 4 different groups:-

1. Cattle farming
2. Poultry farming
3.  Fish production
4. Bee keeping

 Cattle farming

• Cattle farming is mainly done for two purpose :-

1. Milk.
2. Used as a draught labour for agriculture work.

Milch animals

•  The female animals which produce milk is called milch animals( diary animals)

 Draught animal

• The animals which are used for farm labour are known as draught animals.

Lactation period

•  The period of life in which female mammals produce milk is known as lactation period.

• In cattle farming we have to care about the shelter where they live and food which they eat.
• The shelter where they live is well-ventilated roof shed that can be protect from heat rain and cold.
• The floor should be tilt so it is easy to clean.
• There are two types of food required for the cattle, one is for his healthy life and another one is required at the time of lactation period. 
• The food that's are required for cattles are of two types one is roughage and another one is concentrates.
• Roughage contains large fibers where as concentrates contains low fibers but high level of proteins and other nutrients.
• Like as human being cattle also needs proper diet.
• A good diet for cattle is that by which cattle produce more milk.

• Cattle also suffers from disease.
• Some of disease cause  death some may reduce the milk production.
• The parasites of cattle are internal or external.
• Internal parasites likes worms affect the stomach and intestine.
• Flukes damage the liver of Cattle.
• Infectious diseases are also caused by bacteria and viruses.
•  Vaccinations are given to farm animals against many major viral and bacterial diseases.
