SOME PHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF MATTER:-

  • Matter is made up of particles.

 

 

Properties of particles of matter:-

  1. The particles of matter are very  small.

   for example:-  small amount of potassium permanganate can be dissolve in very large amount of water.

 

  1. The particles of matter have space between them.

    for example:- when we dissolve sugar into water, then volume of water does not increase.

Where does sugar gone?

Sugar occupy the space between the particles of water.

  1. Particles of matter are continuously moving:-

  for example:- if we drop some ink in water the ink spread in whole water in some time.

  1. The particles of matter attract each other:-

    for example:- if we want to break something we have to apply some force this indicates that the particles of matter attract each other or we can say that the particles of matter apply force on each other.
