CELL WALL

Cell wall is the rigid, semi permeable,protective outermost layer of plant cell or some other fungi,bacteria,algae etc.

The main function of cell wall is:-

1. Protection of cell
2. Give structure to the cell
3. And give support to the cell.

• The cell wall of the plant is made up of fibrous carbohydrate called cellulose.
• The plant cell wall is made up of tiny cellulose fibres called microfibrils.
• All microfibrils is glued together by the mixture of polysaccharides.
• Microfibrils is made up of thousands of cellulose molecule bound together by pectines and hemicellulose.
