In crop production management there are 3 main things have to done :-
- Nutrition management
- Irrigation
- Cropping pattern.
Nutrition management
- Plants also required nutrients for growth and these nutrients are supplied to the plant from air water and soil.
- There are mainly 13 nutrients which are essential for plants.
- Plants take carbon and oxygen from air and hydrogen from water.
- Plants take 13 minerals from soil.
- There are two types of minerals which plants obtained from soil:-
- Macronutrients:- The nutrients which required in more quantity for plants are called macronutrients.
- eg:- nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium and sulphur are 6 macronutrients.
- Micronutrients:- The nutrients which required in less quantity for plants are called micronutrients.
- eg:-iron, manganese, boron, zinc, copper, molybdenum and chlorine are 7 micronutrients.
